Privacy policy
Updated 17 August 2026
This policy explains what GenzFixesIndia collects, how that information is used, and what stays public. It applies to the website and related apps.
01Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address, and profile image attached to that Google account. We also create a username for your profile.
When you file a report or comment, we store the text you write, the issue type, severity, location name, optional address and map coordinates, tags, and any photos or videos you upload.
The service also stores account activity needed to run it, such as votes, edit history, sign-in session data, and basic device or browser information sent with ordinary web requests.
02How we use it
We use this information to operate the public record, show reports on the site and map, let you manage your own posts, keep the service secure, and improve how the product works.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your report media for advertising networks.
03What is public
Reports, comments, photos, videos, locations, and similar posts are public by default. Anyone can view them without an account.
If you choose to post without showing your name, visitors see the post as anonymous. Your account is still linked to that post internally so you can edit it. Anonymity on the public page is not the same as deleting the data.
04Photos, videos, and files
Report media is stored in Cloudflare R2. Do not upload files that identify people who did not agree to be shown, or files that contain private documents you do not intend to make public.
Images may be compressed before they are stored. Older reports may still reference leftover storage identifiers from earlier versions of the service.
05Location
If you add a place, address, or map pin to a report, that location becomes part of the public record and can appear on maps and listing pages.
We do not continuously track your device. Location is collected only when you include it in a report or similar post.
06Google sign-in
Authentication is handled by Google. Google receives the fact that you signed in to this service and processes that sign-in under Google's own privacy policy.
We use the Google account details we receive to create and recognize your GenzFixesIndia account. We do not get your Google password.
08Processors we use
We use other companies to run the product:
- Google, for account sign-in
- Convex, for the application database and backend
- Cloudflare R2, for photos, videos, and other uploads
- A payment provider, only if you start a paid checkout
09How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Public reports are kept as part of the civic record, including after you sign out, unless the post is removed for legal or policy reasons.
Session data is kept only as long as needed to keep you signed in and to secure the service.
10Your choices
You can sign out from your account menu. You can edit reports you created from your own account. You can choose to hide your name on a public post before you publish it.
You can also use controls in your Google account to stop this service from using that Google sign-in in the future.
11Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete that account data.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page is the effective date. If you keep using the service after an update, the new policy applies.
Also read the Terms of use.
